So you've had a chance to read our "SIP ALG and Why It's An Issue" article and you'd like to disable the SIP ALG settings on your Rogers modem.
Below if a quick guide on how most typical Rogers setup are and how you can disable SIP ALG on your Hitron modem:
- Open your browser of choice (Chrome / Firefox / Edge / Safari / Opera / etc) and enter the following URL: 192.168.1.1
- The site you've accessed will then prompt you for a username and password.
- Default username and passwords are:
- Username: cusadmin
- Password: {your Wifi password} or "password"
- Default username and passwords are:
- Click on the "Basic" tab
- Click on "Gateway Function" tab
- Disable SIP ALG
- Click on "Save Changes"
At this juncture your system should be ready. You can feel free to reboot your router and log back in to ensure the changes were indeed saved.
With your softphone, simply close the application and restart it and your calls should function properly.
