Sending a Fax From Your Email

Follow

So you're ready to send faxes - GREAT!  The guide below will assist you with getting that going.

To send an fax via your email client of choice, you first need to understand that there are 2 ways to do this. The options are as the registered owner of the account or as an unregistered user with the login credentials.

Registered Users

If you're the registered owner of the account, you can send faxes from any email client by simply following these steps:

  1. Email must be sent to [insert number]@faxmessage.net (in the "To:" field)
  2. *OPTIONAL* The subject line is completely optional but feel free to enter in something that allows you to easily identify the fax in your records.
  3. *OPTIONAL* The body is where you would enter any details that you'd like to have appear on the cover page if you're planning on sending one out with the fax
  4. Attachments:
    • Only 3 attachment are allowed per fax message.
    • File formats accepted include TIFF, TXT, PCX, DCX, DOC, RTF, HTML, HTM, PPT, XLS and PDF
    • NOTE:  The order of attachments may change when recipient receives the fax.

Non-Registered Users

For non-authorized email accounts, the instructions are somewhat the same with a slight change in the subject line requirements (please see below):

  1. Email must be sent to [insert number]@faxmessage.net (in the "To:" field)
  2. *MANDATORY* SUBJECT LINE:  As above, the Gazelle team suggests that you include a subject line that allows you to easily identify the fax in your records.  In addition, you need to provide the username and password in the following format:
    • u=username p=password

    • ie. Subject: Important Fax to Important Client u=[Gazelle provided username] p=[Gazelle provided password]

  3. *OPTIONAL* The body is where you would enter any details that you'd like to have appear on the cover page if you're planning on sending one out with the fax

  1. Attachments:
    • Only 3 attachment are allowed per fax.
    • File formats accepted include TIFF, TXT, PCX, DCX, DOC, RTF, HTML, HTM, PPT, XLS and PDF
    • NOTE:  The order of attachments may change when recipient receives the fax.

That's it!  Happy Faxing!
